Wessex Water is a privatised water company in England, with shareholders primarily based in Malaysia. They are regulated by Ofwat and the Environmental Agency.
The number of serious pollution incidents from Wessex Water has increased year on year between 2019 and 2022. This year, we once again saw an unacceptable number of serious pollution incidents and the company was consequently poorly rated ‘red’ for this on their Environmental Performance Assessment.
