Offshore wave technologies and their place within the UK - a wave hub for the South West?
Cafe Scientifique at the Poly (formally Falmouth Arts Centre) - 'Offshore wave technologies and their place within the UK - a wave hub for the South West?'
The Poly is pleased to announce that it will be hosting Cornwall's first Cafe Scientifique, the regular public forum for debating key scientific issues facing society with renowned and specialist speakers leading the way. Cafe Scientifique will be a regular event and will take place at the Poly normally on the second Tuesday of every month.
The format is simple: the speaker gives a short introduction to the topic; we break for refreshments and pondering; then there's an hour or so of questions and discussion between the audience and the speaker.
See www.cafescientifique.org for more information on the global Cafe Scientifique network and events.
We are pleased to be hosting Cafe Scientifique in partnership with the BA (British Association for the Advancement of Science) www.the-ba.net.
